Honoring NYCHA’s Administrative Professionals
NYCHA appreciates the hard work of our administrative staff who support residents and employees across the five boroughs. In honor of National Administrative Professionals Day, celebrated during the last week of April, we recognize the contributions of Red Hook West Houses Secretaries Brenai Campbell and Laura Gonzalez, two of the many administrative employees whose dedication and efforts help keep the Authority running.
Ms. Campbell has spent her entire NYCHA career of nearly 30 years at Red Hook West, where colleagues say she has been a beloved staple of the community for her exemplary service to residents. The longtime secretary was particularly committed to assisting residents with various needs during Superstorm Sandy and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Brenai Campbell is highly valued by both staff and tenants alike for her knowledge, experience, and great professionalism,” said David Zuckerman, Assistant Property Manager at Red Hook West.
While she has worked at NYCHA for less than a year, Ms. Gonzalez has already acquired a wealth of skills to help improve services for the Red Hook community. She enjoys working with residents to address their needs and is excited to grow her career at NYCHA.
“Laura Gonzalez is relatively new to NYCHA, having been here for eight months, but she has distinguished herself by adapting herself well to the enormous challenges of the job and earning the respect of all for her skills in assisting tenants over the phone and in person,” Mr. Zuckerman said.
