NYCHA Employees Celebrate Fan Appreciation at New York Liberty Game 

NYCHA colleagues joined the thousands of spectators who came to support the New York Liberty during their Fan Appreciation Night on September 9. 

In the WNBA team’s final home game of the regular season at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, the Liberty defeated the Washington Mystics 75-66. The Liberty, who received the fifth seed in the playoffs after finishing second in the Eastern Conference, will play the Phoenix Mercury in the first round. 

More than 100 NYCHA employees were among the fans who received a free Liberty T-shirt at the Fan Appreciation event. Thanks to their strong showing of support, some NYCHA staff were given the special opportunity to take foul shots on the Barclays court.
