Embracing the Future Together: Exciting IT Projects on the Horizon

Dear Colleagues,

As you may know, NYCHA’s Information Technology department is currently upgrading many of our technology systems to offer improved services and a more user-friendly experience to both staff and residents.

We are delighted to announce the top five IT initiatives, focused on replacing many of NYCHA’s legacy systems, that will streamline our operations and empower us to deliver exceptional services to profoundly impact the lives of our residents and employees. Get ready for a wave of positive change as we embark on an incredible journey with these upcoming NYCHA IT projects that will be rolling out over the next several years!

IT projects

Of course, any undertaking of this magnitude requires dedication, hard work, and commitment from employees across the Authority. NYCHA staff represent an incredible pool of talent, expertise, and passion, and we want to engage you in opportunities to be a part of this change.

Over the coming weeks and months, we will engage a variety of business groups to join information sessions and/or participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to tailor our approach to specific interests and support us in creating a seamless and user-friendly experience for all users. UAT is crucial to ensure that the new features meet your expectations and function correctly before deployment, minimizing risks and enhancing user satisfaction. These sessions will provide the opportunity to ask questions, share insights, and collaborate with your colleagues. Dates and times of the info sessions will be forthcoming to relevant business users.

As we constantly strive to enhance the lives of residents, NYCHA must leverage the power of technology to meet their evolving needs efficiently and effectively. We have the opportunity to set new standards of IT excellence within NYCHA and the public housing sector as we aim to bring innovation, collaboration, and improved services to our communities.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment and dedication to our mission. We look forward to celebrating the collective successes that lie ahead!

Sincerely,
