Complimenting NYCHA Contractors

Gompers Houses resident Delois sent the below message to NYCHA in early on behalf of herself and fellow residents about the work of two NYCHA contractors.

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Delois and I am a resident of Gompers Houses. I have been tasked by the residents in my building to write you regarding Inspector Mark Edwards and German Ernesto Bunay. As you are aware, the residents have been without gas since September 27, 2019. The residents were told that abatement and gas piping removal was needed for the majority of the apartments. As you can imagine, we were very frustrated.

We are writing to express that Inspector Mark Edwards, along with German Ernesto Bunay, Supervisor for NYES Abatement Contractor, and staff were awesome! Mr. Edwards communicated step-by-step what this task entailed and approximately how long it would take. No matter how many questions were posed to Mr. Edwards regarding our concerns, he answered them with precision and assurance. He assured the residents that only one worker would be assigned to work in your apartment and that their apartments would not be left unattended if the work was completed early. Many residents left their numbers and Mr. Edwards called them when their apartments were ready. Many residents, as well as myself, all agree these were the best contractors.

Please let Mr. Edwards and his staff know that the residents of 90 truly appreciated him and his staff and we say thank you.

Ms. Delois

Resident of Gompers Houses
