Oliver Osterwind Participates in Construction Safety Week Panel Discussion
On May 6, the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) New York/New Jersey Chapter presented a Construction Safety Week panel featuring Oliver Osterwind, NYCHA’s Vice President of Project Management for Capital Programs, and other New York City construction leaders. Kicking off Construction Safety Week 2024, the discussion centered on common safety hazards in the industry, examining options and methods for mitigating hazards through design and construction practices. Mr. Osterwind and the panelists discussed how safety plays a role in their work and provided suggestions on the best ways for construction managers, engineers, architects, general contractors, and industry professionals to keep abreast of current and changing safety regulations. The group also highlighted opportunities to learn about future safety initiatives and actions that industry professionals can take to help keep job sites safe.
