They are conducting muster outside, practicing social distancing, and communicating important messages to staff every day. They are providing essential services, with the caretakers and grounds staff cleaning the buildings, managing the trash, and ensuring that the property stays clean. The maintenance workers are doing repairs for our residents, in their apartments and in their buildings, while maintaining social distance and wearing face coverings. The office staff are handling administration, day in and day out. They are truly the unsung heroes of NYCHA.”
