Comment on NYCHA’s Transformation Plan
Dear Colleagues,
Over the last few weeks, many of you joined staff town halls to learn about NYCHA’s Transformation Plan — our plan to comprehensively reform how NYCHA does business to better serve our residents, employees, and the city. A recording from the town hall along with other information about the Transformation Plan are now available on NYCHA Connect. Employee awareness and participation are critical to the success of this effort, and we encourage you to take time to learn more and get your questions answered.
As part of our continued commitment to transparency and collaboration, we are making the complete draft of the plan available for a six-week public review and comment period, from November 16 through December 28, 2020. You can view the full plan on NYCHA’s website here and the public comment form here.
We all have a role to play in ensuring that NYCHA receives valuable input from our stakeholders. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the draft plan, and please share about the public comment period with residents, Section 8 participants, vendors, advocates, and others interested in strengthening NYCHA. You can also find the FAQs on the public comment process here for your information.
Property Management staff are critical in helping NYCHA promote this opportunity to our residents and assisting those without internet access. Property management staff, please review the email you received on Friday with specific instructions for property management offices.
As NYCHA employees, you can always send your questions, feedback, and comments to transform@nycha.nyc.gov. However, if you prefer to comment anonymously, you are welcome to use the public comment form.
Thank you for your unwavering dedication to NYCHA during this period of change.
Sincerely,
Greg Russ, Chair & CEO
