Teamwork Is Beautiful

With just some paint, brushes, and a can-do attitude, NYCHA staff, residents, and other members of the community created a beautiful, nature-themed mural at Manhattan’s St. Nicholas Houses.
In the words of Housing Manager Vivian Sifontes: “I got my staff involved in this mural painting project – as well as our Neighborhood Coordination Officers, partners from our neighborhood MAP [Mayor’s Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety] program, Resident Watch volunteers, and some residents – to help beautify our development. My staff got really into it, and we did some planting as well. Everyone was proud of their contribution. I thank my staff for assisting and making this possible. Coming together and working toward the same goal really made a difference, and for that I am grateful.”
