Meet a NYCHA Partner
eComply Helps NYCHA Carry Out Its Mission
As part of a new series, we’re periodically featuring the minority- and women-owned business enterprise (MWBE) partners that help NYCHA carry out its mission. NYCHA strives to award as many contracts as possible to MWBEs as it works to provide quality services to NYCHA residents and improve their homes – delivering for residents and strengthening its organization while promoting greater opportunity for all.
In this first installment of our series, eComply Solutions’ General Counsel and Vice President of Business Affairs Lynn Hang describes her organization’s partnership with NYCHA:
“eComply provides NYCHA with a cloud-based, agency-focused labor compliance and diversity management solution that meets all of NYCHA’s labor compliance needs on a single platform. Specifically, we are providing a solution that stores, tracks, and monitors certified payrolls in accordance with applicable rules and regulations; tracks and reports on Section 3 hiring, Resident Employment Program hiring, and other HUD submissions; and centralizes Equal Opportunity data. Our solution creates efficiency, increases accuracy, and maintains flexibility – all while ensuring that NYCHA will always be audit-ready.
eComply Solutions is an innovative leader in technology with over 20 years of experience. We launched as an independent company in 2018, and our mission is to offer solutions for government agencies that will provide access to real-time data that will empower our clients with actionable insights to make effective decisions. We specialize in custom reporting and workflow automation with modules for Davis-Bacon and Prevailing Wage Compliance, Diversity Management, Certification Management, Centralized Prequalification Vendor/Contractor Management, Social Equity Hire Compliance Programs, and more.
We are truly appreciative of the opportunity to work with the largest public housing authority in the nation. As an MBE, it provides a sense of validation for our work when we see agencies believe in the value that we bring to the proverbial table. And on a larger philosophical scale, the need for affordable housing is more important than ever – we find it fulfilling to be a part of that process even in the smallest of ways.
When entities like NYCHA expand their vendor community to partner with more MWBEs, it creates a more diverse perspective – which can lead to fresh ideas and more innovative solutions. Also, MWBEs are traditionally thought of as smaller companies that may not have as much experience or professionalism as large corporations. However, that is not always the case; in fact, MWBEs will oftentimes be the most committed people on a project. That type of commitment is what leads to project success!”
