Learn About PHAS Inspections
Dear Colleagues,
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Public Housing Assessment System – known as PHAS – is a critical way we ensure that our housing is decent, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. Through regular PHAS inspections, HUD determines whether our buildings – from the grounds to apartments – meet the necessary standards, and where improvements are required.
We all play an important role in this process – by working together with residents to keep our buildings in good condition all year round, we can provide our families with a quality place to live. Learn more in this brief video:
As always, if you see something improper or that needs to be repaired at NYCHA developments, please report it by filing a complaint at our website (on.nyc.gov/submit-concern) or by calling the Customer Contact Center at 718-707-7771 (select menu option “7”).
Thank you for all your efforts to ensure safe and decent homes for NYCHA families.
Sincerely,
Greg Russ, Chair & CEO
