Complimenting Doretha Ford in the Quality Assurance Unit
Ms. Marlene Farrell-Trent, a resident of Park Rock Rehab in Brooklyn, sent the below message to NYCHA. Congratulations to Doretha Ford and her colleagues in the Quality Assurance Unit!
To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to say thank you to Ms. Doretha Ford and the entire Quality Assurance (QA) Unit at NYCHA!
You see, last year (October 2019) there was a very bad leak in my bathroom ceiling. After calling the management office to do something, I went on to the NYCHA website to send an email to NYCHA and the Chair and CEO. However, I didn’t believe that I would hear from anyone.
One morning, I got a message on my phone from Doretha Ford. She was very pleasant, very professional. Ms. Ford said that she was from the Quality Assurance Unit at NYCHA, and that they had received a complaint from me. When I finished stating the problem, Ms. Ford told me that she was sending three inspectors to my apartment, tomorrow between 9:30 to 10 a.m. I said to Ms. Ford, “Are you sure that you’ll remember?” Ms. Ford said in the most pleasant voice, “Yes, they will be there.”
At 8:30 a.m. my phone rang; there was a gentleman on the line. He said that they are from the Quality Assurance Unit at NYCHA, and they have an appointment with me today. Do I mind if we come a little early, because we are in the neighborhood, not far from you? I was so very happy; I said, sure, come on by!
Therefore, I would like to pay a compliment to Ms. Ford and her team in the QA Unit at NYCHA! I hope that each of these employees receives a commendation for being the most professional, pleasant employees. A very big thank you for all your help, and a Happy New Year!
