Get a Free COVID-19 Test

Attention NYCHA residents: September 22 is Get Tested Tuesday! Get a COVID-19 test to protect yourself and your family. You should get tested even if you don’t have symptoms!

Community organizations, resident leaders, NYCHA staff, and volunteers will be at over a dozen NYCHA developments across the city to encourage residents to get tested for COVID-19. 

You can help stop the spread by getting a COVID-19 test. To find a free testing site near you, text COVID TEST to 855-48, call 212-COVID19, or go to nyc.gov/covidtest. 

NYC Health + Hospitals offers free testing regardless of insurance status.  

If you or a close contact tests positive, you will be contacted by the Test and Trace Corps. Answer the call! They’re reaching out to make sure you have all the FREE resources you need to safely separate and alert your contacts that they may have been exposed. 

Prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect your loved ones by staying 6 feet apart, wearing a face covering, washing your hands, staying home if you are sick, and getting a FREE COVID-19 test.
