Theresa Koenig-Long, a Project Manager with NYCHA’s Asset and Capital Management Department, began her NYCHA career as a seasonal worker in 1983 – and she still has her first NYCHA ID card to prove it! Ms. Koenig-Long is an enthusiastic believer in public service and NYCHA’s mission: “This is the greatest job in the world! To be able to change people’s lives for the better – how wonderful is that? I love being a public servant, and I am just so proud to work here. I love interacting with residents, with the resident association presidents – it really is just a wonderful opportunity.”
