Two staff from NYCHA’s Department of Communications, Senior Manager for Events and Communications Services Millie Molina and Photographer Leticia Barboza, toured the La Guardia and Wagner Archives, located at La Guardia Community College in Queens, on December 6.

According to Ms. Molina: “We got a glimpse of the Archives’ wonderful historical collection of NYCHA photos, negatives, documents, exhibits, and floor models from NYCHA’s 70th anniversary, and more. The Archives’ Director Dr. Richard Lieberman and his team of archivists shared enthusiastically the Archives’ history. It opened in 1982 and after receiving its first grant in 1983, started chronicling the history of several agencies, including NYCHA, and former mayors. It was great seeing the hundreds of well-preserved boxes containing some of NYCHA’s history. We enjoyed ourselves and learned valuable information about NYCHA.”
