NYCHA staff and residents welcomed Mayor Bill de Blasio and city officials as City Hall moved its headquarters to Staten Island for a week in late July.

Staten Island was the first location for this year’s “City Hall in Your Borough,” which included a resource fair hosted by Mayor de Blasio and Staten Island Borough President James Oddo at the Gerard Carter Center at the Stapleton Houses (where NYCHA staffed a table). On July 26, Deputy Mayor J. Phillip Thompson toured the new urban farm at Mariners Harbor with NYCHA staff and young NYCHA resident members of Green City Force’s Urban Farm Corps.

Mayor de Blasio’s administration launched “City Hall in Your Borough” to bring the government to residents of each borough for a week to focus on their needs and concerns. The next stop will be Brooklyn during the week of August 20.
