Senior Care Right at Home
Residents of the Conlon-Lihfe Towers senior development in Queens now have access to important health services right in their building. Preferred Home Care of New York is collaborating with NYCHA’s Family Partnerships Department to improve the health and quality of life for residents by increasing access to information and resources that support wellness at every age.
An open house was held in January to introduce residents to the Preferred Home Care of New York team and office, which is located inside Conlon-Lihfe Towers and open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to residents and community members ages 60 and older who are living independently. The office provides comprehensive support and health care services, including Medicaid planning, homecare planning, doctors on call for home visits, long-term care, home meal delivery, and social services.
